This home is a restored 1920s Craftman Style Home with front and back porch. Property is gated. There is a Master upstairs and downstairs. Parking available just outside our gate. We provide a gas grille for any outdoor cooking. We also provide a high chair and Graco Play Pen for those guests traveling with small children. We are happy to provide if needed at no additional cost.

Our guests will have access to our entire home with the exception of the closet in the Master Bath upstairs and the second floor hallway closet. Those two closets will not be accessible. Every other space is available including the office downstairs.

We are centrally located. Less than 1 mile from George R. Brown Convention Center, Toyota Center, BBVA Compass Stadium, and Minute Maid Park. Public transportation to all venues accessible via MetroRail. Central to both George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Hobby Airport. Easy access to 45 South, 59 North and Interstate 10. Less than 5 miles to Medical Center. Discovery Green is located across from the George R. Brown Convention Center. You are also minutes away from Ninfa's Original Mexican Restaurant. A favorite for any native Houstonian and highly recommend anyone visiting to stop in for some great food.

This two-story Victorian Home has been restored and has all amenities. It has kept its original form but has had some creative details merged in to enhance its charm. The home's original Heart Pinewood flooring is  throughout the downstairs.   

The downstairs space consists of the Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Laundry Room, two large bedrooms, and one full bathroom featuring an antique claw foot porcelain bathtub. A 48" Sony Smart television is mounted on the wall near the front of the living room with a swivel to be able to view it through the entire space into the kitchen if desired.  Netflix, YouTube and even your own computer (using the HDMI cable and a Mac adaptor found in the end-table drawer by the sofa) can be viewed at any time.

The Kitchen is fully-equipped with all the dishes, pots and pans, and standard cooking utensils. We also provide a coffee maker, creamer, sweetener, snacks, microwave, toaster, iron, and dish detergent. The laundry room is located in the back bedroom just beyond the kitchen. 

The upstairs space is accessed through the quaint foyer in the entry way. There you will find a spiral staircase that leads up to the loft area. The loft room contains a queen size bed as well as a full size daybed with comfortable futon mattress. The upstairs bathroom is split level with its own antique claw foot bathtub. This bathroom has a view of the nearby downtown skyscrapers when the stained glass window is open! 

The French doors in the loft open up to a large, cozy balcony that is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some fresh air while you're there. Downstairs, you can also enjoy the porch swing on the front porch or the backyard and patio at the rear of the property.

The entire house is available to guests for the duration of their stay.

Parking is available for 4-5 cars in the driveway. Guests are also welcome to park up to 2 cars in front of the property on the street. 

The front door is accessed by a personal code. Once inside, the back door can be opened.

We are not onsite but aim to be responsive to any questions or concerns that may arise. In the foyer of the home, you will find our Home Guide sitting on an antique table in the foyer facing the front door. This book outlines all the house information and provides tips on what's available in the neighborhood.

The famous Sixth Ward is one of the very earliest residential settlements on the edge of Houston's bustling downtown in the late 1800's.  It has gone through many changes over the past century, now settling into a  pleasant & desireable neighborhood where most residents know each other and the houses are all restored and beautiful.

There will be detailed information of all transportation routes in the check-in book in the house.  Just a few blocks away, The Wave runs back and forth along the Washington Corridor, serving as a limo to carry people to and from bars and restaurants late into the night - weekends only.

Whole Foods and HEB are less than 10 minutes away.  Restaurants and bars are abundant nearby.  We are at the downtown end of the new and interesting "Washington Corridor" and only one block north of the Sabine St. bridge which pedestrians can cross to reach the bike and walking trails into downtown or out to Memorial Park.

SAFETY / SECURITY: The guest suite is inside a gated area, the Host can provide a lock for the gate entrance if requested by the Guest. Guests may not provide their own lock for the gate.

CLEANING NOTICE: Guests are politely asked to notify Host immediately if the room is not in clean and good condition upon arrival, the room is professionally cleaned and the Host holds the cleaner accountable for their performance. An In-room robot vacuum and Swiffer mop is provided to help keep your room clean during your stay!

GUEST SUITE CLARIFICATION: The Guest Suite is a private room with private access; this room is attached to a building that occupies other residents (the Host) but does NOT provide any access to other areas of the building (i.e. Kitchen).

Built for luxury, our townhome is host to 3 stories to give you the maximum amount of comfort during your time in Houston! Entering on the main level of the house you’ll be greeted by one bedroom/full bath, laundry room, and two car garage. Just up the stairs, you will walk into a dining room, living room, kitchen, and bedroom (double over double bunk beds) with full bath. Continuing up another level you’ll find the master suite (king bed) and master bath. Relax in the jacuzzi. With all of these beds, you could comfortably sleep up to 8.

The entire house is yours and yours alone. Guests will have full access to all household amenities including a full kitchen, washer & dryer and 2 car garage.

Please feel free to text or call us throughout your stay for references to local events, activities in the city or for the basics - like where are more towels or what's the access code to the WiFi or residence! The Townhome is in East downtown blocks away from 59, I-45 and I -10 for quick and easy access to all of the action Houston has to offer.  The baseball, football and soccer stadiums, George R. Brown Convention center, and Discovery Green Park are all within a mile. The light rail can take you directly to NRG Stadium, the museum district or the medical center and more within minutes. The Galleria Mall and 4 other malls are within a 10-15 min drive from the home.

**My suggestion is to download Google Maps, enter your destination, and under the destination you will see an icon if a car, train, man walking etc. Click on the train and/or walking  man and it will give you Uber and Lyft estimates as well as how long train would take.**

The George R Brown Convention center, Toyota center, Minute Maid Park and BBVA Compass stadium are all within walking distance but might take about 15 mins. An Uber or a Lyft can usually be at the house within 2-5 mins and can have you at any of the above places within 5 mins.

If you are going to NRG Stadium you can walk to the metro rail within 5 mins and pay very little to get there BUT it could take a long time to to get there. An Uber or Lyft costs more ($10-$15) but is much faster.

Safety & Security: Our home is located in a gated community and there is a monitored alarm available for your use along with security cameras that monitor the outside of the house and one on the 2nd floor that is not active.

We're also near a bikeshare station (at Project Row Houses) and the Columbia Tap Hike and Bike Trail, which you can take into Downtown, the Medical  Center, or connect to other trails along Houston's many bayous.

Nestled under a shady pecan tree, you'll love the tall windows, natural light, & front porch on this historic home built in 1910. Situated N of downtown, & E of The Heights, this 1 bedroom bungalow is the perfect landing pad if traveling solo or w/ a pup. Wood floors are original & it has been lovingly remodeled with a modern kitchen. Check out the hike and bike trails along the bayou, just a block away! Most guests stay > 1 month. This cozy cottage boasts plenty of space for one to two people, and provides all you need for your stay! 

Kitchen:
Enjoy cooking in the chef's kitchen w/ Bertazzoni range, reverse osmosis drinking water spout, and plenty of pots, pans, tupperware, spices, kitchenmaid mixer, blender, sheet pans. Reverse osmosis drinking water tap is to the right of the kitchen faucet. 

Bedroom:
The bedroom has a new (2022) Beautyrest queen size bed, soft linens, extra blanket, large closet with hangers, iron and ironing board, and a dresser for you to use. Also: white noise machine & alarm clock. 

Living Space + Work Space + Bathroom:
You’re sure to love the tall ceilings and tons of natural light. Some local magazines are in the living room in case you need to locate the best BBQ in town! Also provided: deck of cards and Houston puzzle for a rainy day. ROKU allows you to log into your streaming services (and automatically logs you out at departure). There's even a separate work area, as you'll find a desk in the hallway. The laundry room / back entry has a new washer and dryer - with laundry soap provided. The bathroom has a shower / claw-foot tub. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, cotton rounds, q-tips are stocked for your convenience. We have even provided bath salts for a good soak!

Entire house and yard are yours to enjoy! Don't forget the front porch for relaxing and getting some fresh air. It's my favorite spot to enjoy a cup of coffee!

The Near Northside is a neighborhood with tons of culture, and families have lived here for generations. If you're hungry, you won't have to look far for some incredible Mexican food! I'm partial to Godritas Aguascalientes on Irvington. OPENING SOON is the big Hardy Yard project just South of my house. Saint Arnold (oldest craft brewery in Texas) isn't too far either.

You'll be one block from the MetroRAIL, and another block from the walking trails along the bayou (leading into downtown or the Heights). Easy access from freeways, or use Memorial Drive or Washington Ave to get around, too.

Housekeeper comes by on Mondays (one or 2x per month, depending on the timing of your stay) to keep up with cleaning & maintenance task. Her next visit is noted on the fridge. 

Lawn service stops by every Tuesday to cut the grass. 

Just 2 blocks from the light rail, and a block to the hike and bike trail, you will enjoy staying in this vibrant neighborhood so close to downtown and the Heights.
