The Cabin #2 parcel includes 955 feet of frontage on the Pere Marquette River and 5.39 acres of land. An easement provides access over the existing road to Mac Road, plowed in winter and maintained year-round by Lake County. This cabin sits well above the river. Fishermen enjoy the low bank access to the river for fishing. Because it was built before the Natural Rivers Act, this cabin is closer to the river than is allowed for new construction under the current 150-foot setback. The grandfathered status enables the building to be replaced or expanded by up to 50% without a zoning variance.
